Does anyone have any experience with home heat exchangers?

THe humidity in our house is way too high year round and the portable dehumidifier we have just isn't enough. After a few weeks of running it 24/7 humidity in the house is down to 55% from 80% (Current humidity outside is 45%). One option I have read about is a heat exchanger to bring in fresh outside air. Anyone have any experience with one?

Here's a little info.

The house is very well insulated, so I dont think it can breathe.

As for opening a window, that will be somewhat cold when it's 0F ;)
