I have never seen or used a card that was capable of running games with AA/FSAA enabled. Does anyone have any screenshots that compare the difference between AA/FSAA enabled and disabled?

I'll take some for you in Flight Sim 2004... you'll REALLY see the advantage to AF on the runway =) Bout 10-15 minutes and I should have links posted.

I'm going to take some more in the game The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind as well, because FS2004 doesn't seem to like 2XAA settings.

Wow, I guess it does make quite a difference. 0xaa/0xaf compared to 8xaa/8xaf is completely different. However, the frame rates sure do drop :)

Thanks for taking the time to post the pics :)

Also, if one were to use a 9800 pro with 8xaa/8xaf what kind of frames would they expect in a similiar setup as the above pictures?

If you can get FS2004 to run on a 9800 Pro... they'd probably be about the same... maybe a little higher with 8XAA... but Flight Sim is mostly CPU/platform limited. Especially since I didn't have any real weather loaded, just "partly cloudy" I think they call it.

Morrowind screenshots... this is with all the options in the game set for full detail. Frame rates are in the bottom right corner. They aren't effected much by AA and AF because as with FS2004, this game is mostly CPU limited with all the NPC's it's keeping track of... it's also raining if you didn't notice =)

0XAA/4XAF
