Yes, G and N (at 2.4Ghz) are just flags in the "capabilities" section of the beacon.

It also supports 5Ghz A & N networks.

Hmm...

Be aware that the Entry Level ready made Extenders are basicaly "Duds".

They cut the signal into half passed the repeating point and the outcome of using them is rather limited.

A real good Wireless device would not be sold for $29.99 if it was really useful.

That said, I do not know the circumstances and your Networking needs.

So, get a unit from a vendor with liberal return policy. Treat the "treasure" with physical respect so you can send it back if it does not solve your problem.

Thanks for the help. I just need to get a wifi signal upstairs and the router is in the basement.
