Does anyone have a Visioneer 8100 scanner working in WinXP??

I have the 8700 and I have heard that the 8100 works also! Hope this helps!

I can't get the thing to be recognized by winxp, using USB.

OK, followed the instructions on the website and it scans, but at the end of every scan I get this error:

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

WTF is this?

I also have heard that it works fine under XP (hot deals forum) I also have the 8700 and that works great!
