there are a variety of public toilet types. There are those which are extremely clean (like in many companies you work for)... those at the mall which are moderately clean... those you find in a park - ugh... and port-a-potties... :thumbsdown:

Normal use as long as they are thickly layered with t.p. or those toilet seat covers. However, in the second scenario you described I would dash home and do my business in private. I had a stomach virus make itself known while I was in nightschool once and although I was almost to the point of tears I made it home in the nick of time to suffer in private (with the exception of my poor wife who was still awake). 😀

Penn and Teller did a Bullshit! episode on this. They checked a few people for germs on their hands, face, and ass. Why? To see how dirty our butts really are. Their results? The hand swabs and face swabs had more bacteria than the ass swabs.

Urine has no bacteria/viruses. Its a sterile liquid. Sure you'll get smelly and wet if you plant your ass on a messy public toilet seat, but you wont get sick.

I have no issue with using the bathrooms at work, but I'd be very unlikely to use it at a dirty gas station if it was possible to avoid it.
