Why would you ruin photos like that? It's stored in the EXIF information if you need it.

I wanna ruin photos like that, because my boss said that if theres no date...
the photos will not hold up to a legal document in court.

Just looked at my PowerShot A80, there seems to be no date feature. Many digital camera manufacturers are getting rid of that feature. Casio digital cameras still incorporate it with a feature called DPOF, and that only puts the date on them when they're printed on DPOF compatible printers.

The date will always be in the EXIF data, however, and I'd think that would be more substantial than a date stamp...

Cannon?

Everything will be dead anyway you shoot with it unless you're a horrible shot. ;)

anyone could photoshop that, and I'm sure EXIF data can be edited somehow... how would that hold up any better in court?

The only way is with an imaging editing program. Other than that I love my A70 though. I don't know why they made it so it doesn't let you have the date on your photos though. I guess they thought no many people used the option. Who knows.

It looks like Canon's bundled software has an option to add it to the printed photo by pulling the date from the EXIF data. There is no way with that camera to time stamp the photo in memory. You could open the pic in photoshop and print the EXIF data and attach it to the back of the picture.
