Does anyone have a 6600gt sli setup?

I currently have a Leadtek 6600gt. I was thinking of either getting a second 6600gt or just upgrading to 1 6800gs for now. I do alot of gaming and normal computer stuff. Any good advice?

It depends on your budget, but $ for $ go with the 7800gt for now

adding another 6600gt will improve performance, but not nearly as much as a single card upgrade to a 7800gt

I have a 6600gt, but I'm going to wait for the next gen cards with dedicated pixel pipeline/shaders. The reason I say buy the 7800gt now is because it's $270 and you do "a lot of gaming". I don't, so you could use a upper mid tier upgrade for now.

I would just sell the one 6600gt, and upgrade to a single 6800gs, or even 7800gt is you can spare the cash. This has been debated a lot last year, but when looking at benchmarks, the overall picture is that dual 6600gt's are no better than a single 6800gt, and the 6800gs is almost identical in performance to a 6800gt. I dont know about others, but given a choice between 2 cards or a single card that performs on par with the other 2 cards, I'd take the single card any day.

Right now though 1 more 6600gt would cost me about $120.00. I know a 6800gs is aound $200.00 and a 7800gt is around $275.00. If 1 more 6600gt would give me 6800gs performance that may be good enough.

I thought that the 6600GTs scaled poorly in SLI due to the 128-bit memoru bus?
