You naughty buggers. :)
I mean, do you still feel the need to upgrade even though your computer is more than fast enough for what you use it for.
You want a new video card even though you have little interest or time for the new games coming out...
You want a bigger hard drive although you only use half of your current 15GB...

This is irritating! I have a perfectly good Voodoo3 3500TV and I keep going nuts wanting an ATI Radeon card... Am I just being reckless? When I get it, will I be satisfied? Will it ever end?????? :Q

Ohhhhh yeah....

I only (read: ONLY!) play Rogue Spear nowadays and I run it in 1024x768 because I don't really care if I put it any higher, the graphics aren't that spectacular to start with, so I might as well get a really fast FPS in multiplayer. Therefore, my P3 550e@733 and 128MB of PC133 and G400 MAX is more than adequate for my usage...but I always think of maybe a Radeon...or a 900MHz Tbird...or this...or that...or the other thing....

Heh, I am doing a major overhaul of my computer in a few months though (probably january or so) and I will have a 1.xxGHz Tbird or Mustang, 256MB of PC2100 DDR, G800 top'o'da'line. See, I've really gotten into gaming since I got my new computer last November...however, its really been limited to Rogue Spear and I used to play UT a bit (I haven't in months...), but Duke Nukem Forever, Tribes2, that game by Bungie (which was bought by MS) which may only be XBox only that looks really cool (ya know, the one everyone hopes comes to the PC ;)), and a few other really cool games that should be coming out...I'm not sure what I'm doing...but I do have some big plans in the coming weeks/months...so maybe I'll be getting that upgrade for cheap...or free...or with very little dent to my wallet. :) You'll see what I do...I'll make a big friggin announcement on the board.

Until there is enough software out there that I want and that demands that kind of power,I will just keep my Matrox G400Max and enjoy good framerates and beautiful color and play my half life and UT and Sims and wait for some quality that will light my fire.

I'm married with children, that keeps my wallet in check!;)

No kids, but definately married. If I were single, I'd play more games and not worry about spending money on a new video card. :)
I'd also be incredibly lonely.
