I like these forums because of the amount of traffic here. I know a lot of people here like sports. I am a little tentative to start sports topics in the offtopic forum. Anyone else want a sports forum or would it be ok to make sports topics here?

No more forums. The more forums the worse this place will be. Think of an infinite amount of forums with each forum having 0 or 1 poster a day. It just isn't a good idea to fragment too much.

Post sports offtopic - everyone else does.

Off topic category: "A public meeting place, a Pub, if you will... A place for computer junkies to boldly post Off Topic... Things you might want to tell everyone... Or things you wouldn''t say to anyone else."

I certainly would feel comfortable discussing sports at a pub.

may i make a recommendation?

put an "NBA:", "NFL:" or "MLB:" in the thread title and it'll be easier to search for particular sports threads.

This is a computer forum. Sports are off topic in a computer forum. Hence they go in "off topic."

I'm all for people getting one if they want one...I personally wouldn't have any use for it as I'm not into sports.

You know, there's actually a pretty good argument for that. The obvious initial reaction is to make it a part of or spin-off from off topic...but truly, peoples emotional involvement in sports often rivals that of their political afiliations and ideology. Also many people consider what happens in the sports world news, so that'd be another point in that direction.
