Does anyone else wake up, shower, get dressed

I've done it several times. I wake up, turn off my alarm, take a shower, get dressed, and put my glasses on. Then I look at the clock at realize it's 3AM and my alarm never actually went off and I didn't actually turn it off either, because it was never on. So I'd sigh, undress and go back to sleep until 6.

I used to do this in high school every now and then. Usually when I got out of the shower, my mom would be standing outside the door with a "wtf" look on her face.

I've always wondered if anyone else has had this experience or if I'm just weird.

I've done that - and I get very upset because that's time I could have spent sleeping.

But since I work flex hours, I usually just go into work anyway.

I'll sometimes wake up all freaked out because I think it's way past when I was supposed to be at work only to realize a few minutes later that it's Sunday.

A few times I've set my alarm but also managed to set my clock ahead a few hours without realizing it, then woke up at 2am and got ready for work. I ended up sitting there for a few hours after I realized what I had done. Idiot.

Never.
I look at the clock first when I wake up. (one of those fortunate enough not to need glasses)

That said, if I don't set my alarm clock, I wake up several hours later than I need to be awake.

I have not only never had that happen, but I couldn't imagine it ever happening in my life.

I've gotten up about an hour early and gotten in the shower only to realize that my alarm clock never actually went off and that there's nobody else in the bathroom (dorm bathroom) and therefore that I'm quite early. So, yes. Hasn't happened in a while though.

I cannot remember that ever happening and I certainly cannot believe I would ever do it now. I set an alarm, but I always look at the clock and calculate how late I can really get out of bed. I am keenly aware of the time before I get out of bed.

I think the closest I've come to that was once in high school when I woke up with pants on. I don't remember doing anything, but the best I can figure is I got up in the middle of the night, gained just enough consciousness after putting on my pants to look at the clock, then immediately went back to sleep.

This morning I jerked awake 24 minutes before my alarm clock was set to go off, getting that panicky feeling you get when you realize you've overslept, then had trouble getting those last precious 24 minutes of sleep back :(

I remember a while back I came home and took a nap about 4:30. I woke up at 8 (3 and a half hours later) and started freaking out that I was late to work. I thought it was 8 am. I did not remember taking a nap.
Freaked me out for a bit.

I did it a couple times. I think I mistook some digits on the clock or something. Wound up being ok because you get a few hours to goof around before you need to leave. It's nice not rushing once in a while.

Can't remember waking up 3 hours early ever, but I do have an interesting story from a few weeks ago. I usually get up at 4:30am to go to work at 5:30am (financial company, need someone to check the servers before the stock market opens). Anyway I have a seminar to go to Monday, Feb 12th. but for some reason my boss asked me a few Friday's ago if I had that seminar on Monday. Not thinking much of it I said,"Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me", even though I knew damn well in the back of my mind it wasn't till Feb 12th, not sure why I was confused.

So come Monday I wake up at 4:30 as usual and get ready for work forgetting about the seminar that I really don't have to go to but think I do. So I start driving to work when it dawns on me I forgot about the seminar. Shit I could be sleeping since it doesn't star till 8am! Thinking to myself, "you idiot, go back to sleep" So I turn around and go home expecting to go back to sleep. Since I don't actually know where the seminar is at, I decide to look it up. Can't find the address so I call a number I find, luckily they answered. Lady says "well the address is blah blah blah, but I don't show any seminar till Feb 12th" *Smacks forehead* Idiot! what were you thinking, now your late for work! Your mind does weird things when you get up that early. So I went to work 45 minutes late, feeling like I was going crazy.

I usually wake up without fail between 10-40 minutes before the alarm goes off once I'm on a routine. If I have a few days off and stay up late or whatnot, I usually fuck that up for about a week until I'm back on the routine. But normally my bladder wakes me up at about 5:30am.

I've done that exact same thing. Except I don't have glasses and you know how you eventually realize that you never turned your alarm off. Well I also eventually realize that the time was never what I originally saw it as.
