Does anyone else use newspaper to clean the windows on their car?

it just seems like to me the ink would smear? how does the ink not smear? my hands get ink on them from just reading the darn thing.
 
Yeah someone on here recommended that I use vinegar and newspapers, that it's the bomb. Still been meaning to try it though 🙂
 
my dad taught me to do this way back in the day. The trick to get it real good is to crumple the paper so that a lot of edges or folds are touching the glass, pulling the moisture away from the glass much faster than if you put the paper flat against the glass. Cant get a better shine even with those expensive cloths you get at autozone.

And forget windex, 50/50 vinegar & water mix, perfect.

Yup, newspapers work great.

Congrats on discovering what street windshield cleaning hobos have known for decades!

Also there is a great little product I found at the auto store called "Invisible Glass" that comes in a spray can which is a great cleaner to use. Invisible Glass plus newspaper for the win!

Isn't Invisible Glass just a pre-mix of vinegar and water?
 
i've been using newspaper for some time, it's great. 🙂
When my friend was helping me wash my car and he pulled out a newspaper i thought he was kidding, but i've been using newspaper to wash my car's ever since.
On the insides, i'll use microfiber too, i have nice clean windows 🙂
 
wow, i thought this was a joke thread 🙂

the insides of my windows are pretty dirty....i'll have to give it a try.
