Does anyone else use Flexo-Pet sleeving?

I picked this up pretty cheap at SVC and I think it looks way better than wires everywhere. I spent hours taking all the connectors off and putting sleeves on every group of wires except the ones that aren't used I bundled up at the top. I wish I had some heatshrink tubing for the ends cause the flexo-pet tends to fray.

FYI the stuffed animals aren't mine. 😱

And as for the dust, its only been about 3 weeks and the whole case looks dusty. :|

EDIT: wrong w(h)ine

the fray ends get worst and worst when the wires move. I taped teh ends of mine and looped the tape to the inside of the sleeving so i get a round end on the sleeving and no more fray ends😀

What size did you you for the power lines? I am thinking about getting some UV stuff.

I used 1/4 and 1/2 inch for the power lines, 1/8 for the fan wires. 1/4 works good, but it stretches a bit so the 1/2 is safer if you want a definite solid color mesh. 3/8 would more than likely be perfect.

flexopet: cut with hot knife, or cut with sharp scissors and cauterize.

as for the connectors: that's why you get a pin extractor.

looking at your pix, you did not use a hot knife.

I just did my case this last weekend with flexo pet too.

I bought a pin extractor from radio shack Link to help remove the pins, and that saved me hours. Warning: this is hard to find at a Radio Shack. I went to four stores before finding one. The trick is that it is stored in their file cabinent with the resistors. Took a smart employee to finally find it.

I also got the heat shrink tubing from SVC when I got the flexo pet Heat Shrink Tubing Link. This is a definite must. The only problem that I had is that I didn't order enough flexo-pet for my project. I am waiting on another order to come in before I can finish it.

This was my second order already because I wasn't sure what size to order. I used 1/8" for my case fan wires (and cpu fan) and 1/4" for my power connectors. If you want the color of the wires to be hidden then you need to stick with a dark color such as black.

if you dont have heatshrink, you may as well get from svc. there are cheaper places, but the key is that svc sells 3:1 hs tubing (as opposed to 2:1).

I did the same thing, if you guys are fedup with the ends fraying then check out my guide in my sig for dead easy details on how to eliminate this problem.

Here is a pic of what I did last weekend. I used black 1/8" for my fan wires and carbon (because svc is out of black) 1/4" for my power cables. I have some more on order from another place that's a bit cheaper so I hope to finish this weekend.
