I seem to remember reading where one of the online magz did a report that said they were rigged. in between the house cheating and other people doing what Garth mentioned its pretty bad.

but hey anyone that uses real money for online poker is a fool.

Tell that to my LCD TV, Xbox 360, laptop and all the other stuff that I have been able to buy with my online poker winnings.

where did i say that everyone loses? if nobody ever won they wouldnt get idiots to play.

I'm not an idiot, it's just that someone drew out on me. I normally win. I've been down a bit lately, but I won like three in a row awhile ago. I'm just gonna spend this last $30, and then reload for, like, $300 and play a higher limit game where people aren't such bad players.

maybe they'll respect your raises more.

I like playing against people like you. Do you realize that you played the board? Do you realize that a 2 of spades would have beat you? I have no idea why you bet at all.

You're what is called an outlier. There are some who are let win so that when someone comes up with the "ONLINE POKER IS RIGGED!" there will be the guy that say "TELL THAT TO MY Xxxxxxxxxx." All in all, I believe online poker is rigged.

Why do you think that?

Isn't is obvious? I hold irrational and unproven views. I'm on the vanguard of the ideology so that when it becomes a scandal that "online poker is rigged," I can justify my "I TOLD YOU SO!" with some substance.

I've never played online for money, but the games with fake money seem rigged to me. There was one night where in 30 minutes I had 4 Kings in 3 seperate hands.

Okay, so I'm not going to tell you what I had until the end. Just know that I was on the big blind, and SIX people limped in (including the small blind). I was mid stacked, and the blinds were high (no limit tourney), so without a monster, I don't think I can push here, since with so many callers, at least one or two people are going to look me up.

So I check.

Flop comes:

Ts
Kd
Qs

It's checked around to someone on the cuttoff, who makes a minimum bet. Everyone calls (including me) since we were getting odds to.

Turn comes
9s

Checked all around

River comes
Js

I bet big. Get SIX callers. Can't freakin believe I lost. What I want to know is, what I did wrong?

I had pocket 9s. So I made trip 9s. Another guy had J9, and totally made a straight. A third guy had pocket kings and made quads. The fourth guy had the 8s6h and made a straight flush! And then some dude turns over the Ace of spades and wins with a freakin ROYAL FLUSH

I couldn't believe it.

I'm never playing at partystarspacificultimatetilt EVER AGAIN!

makes no sense. you bet big w/trips when theres a 4 flush and a straight on the board?! heck, you cant even beat the board!!!

WTF?!

That's the way it goes though. What bugs me most are the Players who Bet/Raise all the time before the Flop. 75% of the time I leave the table up, 100% of the time those people leave the table down. I suppose they're good for me and others, but most of the time I just wanna see the Flop so I know whether to continue playing or not. :D

If I have something even remotly good on the preflop, I will usually raise double or triple the bet. The last thing you want is a bunch of stragglers hoping to get a good flop on their 5 2 hand doing exactly what you just described (how you folded and would have won if you stayed in). Heck, I bluff half the time on the flop due to those people trying to limp once the flop is shown and check, betting a small amount to scare them off.

Yesterday I started betting with 100$. Today, I'm now at 650$. Trust me, the preflop game is very important if you plan to come out ahead.

I'm talking about players that just Bet/Raise no matter what.

enjoy it while you can. if you live in the US things are not looking good for online poker with the legislation that was passed Friday. fortunately I live within half an hour's drive of 6 b&m casinos.

I should probably cash out my winnings then. I started with $300 and I'm at about $250 now. As soon as I make that back I'm done.

1. Half the hands you listed can't be made with the cards you listed
2. If you really thought you could win that hand with trip 9's against 6 callers you have no business playing poker

3 9s is a Bet BIG hand when you have a straight on the board? You no longer had trip 9s...you had a straight, as did everyone else before showing their pocket cards.

stop playing poker. Period.

I'm going to. I just have to win back this last $70 (which I can do if I get some good cards) and then I'm done.

you know the old saying "if you need good cards to win, you suck at poker." something like that....;)

I assume everyone has said it already..and i am not gonna read it all..but i'll say it again.

1. How did he have quad kings?
2. You had trip 9s...with a straight, and a flush on the board. You could have been beaten by a flush, a striaght, and a full house. Trip 9s sounds good, but on this board its a lay down almost everytime. As it is on the turn I would bet into the pot to see what kind of response I would get, thats really one of the only ways to get info. From there you coudl have seen if you were ahead or behind insteadl of just pushing allin with trips.
3. 6 people in the pot....there are a TON of hands that beat you.
