How about a full blown radio station?

I have to disclose that I have narcolepsy and suffer from hallucinations whenever I lay down to sleep, if even a short nap. Basically, the REM area of the brain becomes active before I'm asleep, causing hallucinations.

That said, I thought for a couple years when I lived in an apartment that I was hearing a neighbor's radio as I was laying down trying to sleep, because they did listen to the radio all the time. But I don't live in an apartment, anymore, I live in a house, and none of my neighbor's listen to their radios at this time of night. I still hear the radio station, though.

Its funny as hell, its REAL! Real in the sense that it seems as though I'm really hearing a radio station. There is music, weather updates, DJ talk, commercials, everything.

My own personal radio station that nobody else gets to listen to. hee hee!

Actually, I have done stuff like that, imagine a whole series of events happening that seemed real, but only right as I was waking up.

are there ever call-in contests?
There have been caller requests, you know like "I'd like you to play blah blah and dedicate it to blah blah, please." That's all I can recollect about call-ins.

After I wake up, I don't remember exactly what was playing or said all the time. I was listening to Linda Ronstadt's "Blue Bayou" about 30 minutes ago. Some times its easy listening, some times hard rock/metal, some times its country. lol!

I get the occasional word or phrase. They come in different voices, sometimes male, sometimes female, as if a cross-section of someone's random converstion nearby just appeared in my head. Also, my dreams are often so realistic that occasionally when I wake up there's a moment where I have trouble distinguishing reality from dream.

This happens to me when I'm SUPER tierd at night and have to wake up early. In highschool I'd have dreams of football or track practice and I swear I could not tell the difference between real life and the dream because my legs were usually always aching. I woke up early durring one of these once because I slammed my foot into a wall next to my bed and I realized I was running in the dream, it's frikin creepy.

OUCH! That must have hurt like hell.

I've jammed or stubbed my toes a few times, bruising them, but not splitting my nail.

Yeah, I see enough of those, too. Don't get me started....

i once had a dream i was in a boxing match or something, and right as the other guy hit me in the dream, i had hit my head on my bed. It's weird, i bet i hit my head first, then in a split second put together that i'd been in a boxing match.

also, when my mom used to wake me up, i'd tend to be half awake, half still in a dream, and i'd come out with rite strange things when she asked "are you awake"
