Does anyone else hate Bee Movie before it even opens on November 2?

Many adults will see this, however; get the kids crazy about it and they will want to see it a few times and buy all the merchandise.

The only thing that the TV Jrs commercials do are annoy adults to death. The blanket marketing is doing more to annoy parents than attract kiddies.

I've never heard of this movie. Of course, I also can't remember the last time I had the TV on for actual TV, not a game or a movie.

Edit: I just read the synopsis on the Wiki, and my jaw literally dropped. Drivel doesn't even begin to sum up the things I'm already thinking about this. It looks like a very creative and possibly funny ridiculous comedy type conversation (bob: hey, do you realize that we're stealing the bees' honey, it's a miscarriage of justice I tell you! larry: yeah, but if we stopped eating it they'd stop making so much, which would cause all the unpolinated flowers and trees to die off and cause our own extinction through a lowering of worldwide oxygen levels. bob: (blank stare and ) oh) but to make it into a movie seems to be a stretch to say the least.

I tried to watch Happy Feet too, because it got pretty good reviews. But fuckin' 5 minutes in I bailed. Sorry, but a penguin shaking her "ass" while puffing up her "breasts" while male penguins chase after her and serenade her is hack shit.

Ugh I hate those NBC shorts they're airing during The Office. Thank God for DVRs but I still have to FF through them. I feel like I'm getting jipped of 2-3 minutes of The Office goodness everytime I see this stupid Bee Movie crap.

TBH I have seen so much of Jerry Seinfeld's lame ass (inadvertently) over the years that I now think he stinks a lot, matter of fact, if Jerry Seinfeld were a bee and showed up in my house, I would gladly flush him down the toilet and his friends.

OH God damn how much I hate those animated movies. I hate the viral marketing that evolves from them, I hate the gayness factor that they carry with them and I hate how McDonalds needs to constantly strike deals with these movie makers to be able to sell their crappy food.

i have lost respect for jerry, his show was funny and all but those shorts have been the worst most unfunny things ever

i have to wonder if he was forced in the contract to do them and now is appearing in them half assed or soemthing...

i have no desire now whatsoever to take the kids to this movie...besides the fact it does not seem kid freindly at all

Exactly, I've seen that commercial so much, I can't imagine anyone else being a bee besides Antonio Banderas.

Reviews (those that don't pander to almighty Seinfeld) aren't good, both in print and from the guys at work who took their kids. One even said his boy kept asking him what was going on in the movie, and he's a smart kid.

We took our kids to see it last weekend (ages 3 to 12).
We all thought it was good.

Not as good as Shrek and Over the Hedge, but much better than Shark Tale and a little better than Madagascar.
