I get that feeling when playing FPS especially in tight winding pathways as opposed to 3rd person in open area's I feel ok.

My g/f watched me play a FPS today and we both nearly vomited after 2 hours.

The only game in which I've ever experienced something strange after 15 minutes or so was F.E.A.R., that game gives me headaches and makes me feel dizzy. But after 12 years of playing video games it has been the only one so far. And it wasn't a major problem to me, just quite annoying. I never completed that game and returned it for a refund.

I find if I play a game with the graphics too far up so that there's a slight stutter or lag in the controls I end up getting sick.

I have a friend that gets dizzy just about every FPS he plays, for me my eyes get real tired when playing an Unreal3 engine game like Rainbow6 Vegas or Bioshock, freakin' dynamic lighting drives me nuts.

Google for Motion Sickness and Half Life 2. That was the first case I had heard of with widespread motion sickness due to the Field of View chosen by default.

Descent 3 gave me the motion sickness, twisting up down and around constantly really threw me.

Alien Vs. Predator 1 and 2 - Playing as the Alien and crawling over edges where the camera flips over fast did it for me too.

As far as I have played, these are the only games that have given me "motion sickness"

To second Elcs, Descent 3 was bad. To date, still the only game made me feel BADLY nauseous.

Oddly, watching my brother play half-life 1 would make me slightly motionsick, but I could play the mods all day long no problem.

Half-life 2, I don't know if it was just a bad day, or if the game also made me slightly nauseous.

Googling....

Console games - sometimes due to jerky controls
PC games... only in single player. I think it has to do with following a set path whereas in multiplayer you're always checking behind you.

In all my years of gaming I had only 1 game that ever made me sick, and I still don't really know why. It was Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I played it for probably over an hour or so, and then started getting a bad headache and felt like I was running the risk of ralphing just by trying to make it to my bedroom (where I just layed for probably 45 minutes with my eyes closed). Never had a problem with another game before or after. Tried that one a couple more times, but I started getting the feeling again. Maybe it had a FOV problem? I just remember that it ran VERY smooth on my PC, almost too smooth, if that's possible.

It's funny because others are saying that stutter or slower frame rate bothers them. For me, silky smooth + fast movement = me getting reacquainted with my previous meal. :)
