Does anyone else find Win ME EXTREMELY unstable????

I am running 4.90.3000 (from a clean install) and I've had more BSOD's in the past week and a half than in two plus years running Win 98. I've had programs that have worked without problems for months just start acting wierd and crashing all the time. Sometimes, without changing anything, I'd boot to a BSOD; after reboot everything would be fine. There doesn't seem to be any patterns to the crashes. Until now, I had been running Win 98 which had been very stable.

I have had one yet so far, and after hitting enter it worked fine after it.

Come to think of it, that one was the ONLY BSOD I've had on this computer in its almost 2 months of existance. How the hell does everybody get BSOD's? MY Win95 3 year old computer probably only had a total of maybe 10 in its lifetime too...!

The only lookups I've had is with Sandra 2000. As you will note, there are some programs that tend to lock up the OS. Since you probably didn't get any documentation with your pirated copy, you wouldn't know that there are some incompatibilities with certain programs and ME.

I used to get a lot in 98SE, I haven't gotten any yet in ME.

You mean windows 98 3rd edition? ;-) I had problems with it. Removed it off my system.

Windows ME is fine. My little sisters love it. Not as stable as windows2000.

Probably it will take quite a bit of tweaking and perhaps will require new drivers, but I'm guessing it's the same thing as when people have problems with Windows 98.
