Does anyone else find anthills extremely fascinating?

I was waiting for the bus the other day to take me to work, and I noticed there was an anthill near the bus stop. While I waited for the bus, I watched the ants do their thing, and it was really interesting watching them work. I was about 15 minutes early for work, and the bus comes every ten minutes, so I was actually considering skipping the first bus and waiting for the second one so I could keep watching the ants.

Anyone else fascinated by 'em?

They're pretty hard to find around here. Ants that make hills, that is. But yeah, I've run across a few.. pretty interesting.

All the ants died.. I think I gave them too much water. The sand stuff got all nasty.

I'm also extremely fastidious with my domicile, so I don't think voluntarily bringing insects into my home is a good idea. :D

Ant hills are always pretty cool, I love watching it when they're swarming over something. I was on my way home last week when I saw a very large number of ants going across the pavement. Maybe they were moving homes or something? Another cool incident I remember was when we had ant wars in the backyard. There were black ants, red ants, and even some yellow ants and they were all going crazy in this little patch of our lawn with the flying ants swarming over it.

The ants around here bite, and it frickin itches like a BITCH, so no I don't do much beyond kill them.

Last summer when I found them setting up a nice line to the cat bowl I'll admit that I stared at them close up and watched for a while. Such tiny, indepedently stupid creatures, can really accomplish a hell of a lot when they work together. I guess that makes them kind of like humans.
