The products have different interactions with the packaging. Same reason why beer from a can tastes different than a bottle.Originally posted by: Nocturnal
I <3 cans, and I can't stand the taste in the bottles for some strange reason. It taste different!

I prefer beverages in this order: glass, cans, plastic bottles.
There is nothing like a cold drink out of a bottle.

I agree with you, canned soda > plastic bottled soda.

Somehow, the canned soda seems fizzier than in a bottle. I prefer bottles by far.

it tastes "fizzier" because we have to pump a bit more CO2 into the bottle, because it SLOWLY leaks out through the bottle itself. That is why a can has a much longer shelf life than a bottle of the same product.

I prefer Dr Pepper out of a can. A bottle is better while driving. And from a fountain is my least favorite 'cause the mix is usually screwed up.
