Does anyone care anymore?

The world has gone to crap. Does anyone care anymore about the wellbeing of others. It seems that if you are not in some social club or clicke (sp) or something then you are pretty much out of luck. It's even harder if you have some problem or something. I guess I am just tired of things the way they are.

Do people care?

Must be depressed, but the world will sometimes make you that way.

I don't care.... about people in social clubs.

Alcohol or the military, those are really your only two options.

It's not that bad. Maybe you're just hanging out with the wrong people.

Out of luck how? Financially? Socially? What about your friends?

Nobody ever cared about anyone else unless personal gain or sincere friendship was involved. It is part of human nature. No surprise here.

I have found that more often than not, the people at the "top" of society are the ones who care the least. I've dealt with many many people in a few retail jobs, restaurant jobs, and just in general, and of all of the people with high paying jobs, nice houses, all of that, very few seem to go out of their way to help others. Obviously there are some that are just genuinely good people, but for the most part it's every man for themselves.

On the other hand, almost all of the "lower class" people I've known over the years (not really the best way to describe them, but hard to put a generic label on them otherwise), seem to do whatever they can to help out if needed, despite the fact that they may not be able to afford to. I've seen people who can barely afford to feed themselves and live paycheck to paycheck go above and beyond when it comes to helping others, and do so without complaining or worrying about the consequences.

I was reffering to emotional connection, so I guess social or personal. Well I guess that is what I mean. I tend to think that when someone cares it is an emotional, personal thing, but I guess it could also be other things too.

Sorry just feel real down right now. Wish there was an escape for me or something.

Interesting Sphexi, I have seen similar things. I have worked in places where most people didn't have a highschool education, and they were warm people. I work at a place now where people are masters and above, and they seem rather cold hearted in some ways. It seems I don't belong anywere.

So I guess since I don't have anything to offer people (no money or social connections) that I am pretty much left alone to myself. Well, that is how it has been for me for the past 10 years. My parents loved me, but they are now gone. The world seems fake and troubeling to me.

If that's the case I think it's time you move on to another job where you do feel in place. As for the social club, clique, I think when you get older the clique types go away. I haven't been any type of clique since High School. I have my select small group of friends, my girlfriend, and our families...and that's it. And i'm content. I think when you increase your amount of friends, issues arise. People talk abou one another behind they're back and such.

In addition, don't get into the mindset of the work being a bad place or people do not care. People do care, you just need to find the ones that do. I think for the most part people are good. Maybe you just need to explore different avenues to find people you're compatible with. This may sound odd but try to join some singles groups. Or if you have any hobbies, search your community for people like minded. You just have to take that extra step to get out of your comfort zone.

No problem. I understand what it's like to be in a hole in which you think there is no way out. But there always is. Just need to choose the right shovel.

I think for the most part people know how to get themselves out of depression but are sometimes afraid to follow that route. Just takes strength I guess and to get over the fear of change.

What really worked for me was joining the gym. Once you start setting goals for yourself and you work towards them, other things in your life seem to fall into place.

There is no gravity...The earth sucks.

No one cares...They are all laughing behind your back.

If you run out of money...You'll run out of friends.

Everyone has to believe in something...I believe I'll have another drug.

And so it goes. 😉

Can I suggest something to you? Try getting into some volunteer work, where you make a difference for other people. Why? Because sometimes getting out of our own whoas does wonders, when you reach out to help others. In a sense you create your own accolades, and purpose, by extending yourself, and you are appreciated for it.

The loneliest place in the world is solitude in your own head. 😉

first of all, cdub you are getting off the topic of "does anybody care" and i condem you for that. wer are not on the topic of depression so if you want to talk about that make a new topic or suck on my left nut. now to voice my opini0n on does anybody care i say yes. what the fvck doees that club click bullsh1t mean. i am in no crazy into clubs and no snoody clicks so i have no bias toward those types of thing but i don't believe that those things are the only source of people who care. also i would like to bring up 911 in which a thousands of miliions of people showed that they care about the wellbieng of others through blood donations, money donations towards the red cross and i know many people who went all the way down to new orleans to help rebuild destroyed homes(i am from wisconsin by the way). so stop looking at everything as a glass half empty and cheer the fvck up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Motion to ban.

How is that off topic. He's obviously depressed and I was merely trying to help. Even offered him to msn me if he needed someone to talk to. I've been through depressesion so I felt like I could give him some guidance overcome his depression. You must understand that depression isn't easy to get over. It takes steps and more often than not, you can't just cheer the F up. I do care and others do to. Get out of this thread. Your meaningless comments are doing nothing to help his situation.

In addition, if you read more into his words you'll see the true meaning by it. It's not about if people care or not, he wants people to care about him. To get there he needs to increase his network of friends with people who share the same interests as him. If you would practice good reading comprehension you would have noticed he isn't happy with his current job state and how he feels mistreated there. You didn't choose to read fully, did you?
