It seems like ages since I've seen a website use real player. Is there even a reason to have it anymore?

I've been playing around with the OS X version of real player, and I cannot believe real actually wrote a piece of software that isn't as bloated and full of junk as its windows counterpart. Real on OS X actually behaves.

I keep Real Alternative installed, but I'm having trouble remembering the last time I actually needed it.

As for the OS X version... maybe they hired someone else to write it?

A guy in my class used to work for Real. I told him that I hated him.

I hate real player. My favorite news site use it to broadcast their programs, that is frustrating because I have no other option that radio. I would kill to make them change to WMA or anything else.

It seemed like so many websites back in the day streamed .rm files that you practically HAD to have it installed in order for the internet to work. But man, there was so much crap with that program...

On occassion I run across a site that uses it, so I use it then. It's much better than it used to be and I have no problems with it.

At one time Real actually was a good program. And just like Yahoo, it went the way of craptacular.

I remember paying for it and it's upgrades back in the day. No more.

I don't have it installed. If there is something I really want to watch in RM format I'll use real alternative. The realplayer software is HORRIBLE!
