Lol my company just started moving some stuff to it. I just work at the NOC and watch alarms, so I have nothing to do with the actual back end deployment stuff, but yeah sounds like a nightmare.

Kind of looking forward to when I get to work to see what they have to say about all that. I'll laugh they start moving to another platform again. They keep doing that, except they never move everything, that's why we have like 40 different platforms we watch.

Yup, we used them. Our SecOps team investigated and look like we dodged a bullet. But they are still actively looking. The NOC guys were not quite happy, since if we are to move to a different monitor, they will have to spent tons of time to configure for deployment. Plus 6+ years of work down the drain..

We use an RMM solution and we were in the process of looking at moving to SolarWinds.

I do always fear when we roll out a new update that it could have malicious code injected into it.

I have to say I like using SW whenever I have to. They have alerts and monitoring setup with Outlook, Slack, Teams (we use both..) Grafana, and some other apps. The reporting easy to use and I have used it to make automated daily reports.

Yeah it's way better than what we are using in terms of ease of functionality, I've tested it and had demo's done from their sales team. But security is priority number one, so we will see where this goes.
