I'm going to buy a rowing machine. I have weights that I dusted off for the first time in 2 years the other day to do a copuple of sets.

so I figure I'll lift twice a week for 10 minutes and row 3 times a week for maybe 1 hour.

does anyone know if it is lift before you do cardio or after? You can black out if you do it in the wrong order.

I do. I'm doing virtually the same routine for a few months now and have lost just under 25lbs, but I can't seem to lose any more  It just... won't burn away anymore...

trainers have preferred to do cardio after lifting, however I prefer to lift after cardio because I like getting cardio out of the way and by then my body is warmed up and ready to go... I've never heard of anyone blacking out doing it in the wrong order... one thing though is that you want ur head above the level of your heart until your heart rate comes back down.. maybe that's why somone blacked out?

wow you've lost 25 pounds? congrats! that's a hell of an achievement. you've reached a plateau because you are doign the same thing every day. Try mixing it up with different forms of cardio and that should get you going again!

Yup, unfortunately everyone plateaus eventually. I have the opposite problem, I gained a quick 15 pounds (which I wanted to do) and then hit a wall. Haven't put on much weight since the first three months I was working out. I've increased the amount of weight that I do in every workout, it just doesn't come as quickly as the newbie gains did.

Oh well...

Yeah I lift weights 4 times a week, probably been lifting for 6 months now, good stuff. I absolutely love doing it.
