Well EXCUSE me. We criticize people EVERYDAY!! We criticize politicians, sports figures, movie stars, etc.

Hey Crosshare - GB has a good point... I mean these people are professionals and they do bring some form of entertainment to some projectory of fans in one sense or another.

I also think that it's our society's way of saying that nothing is just limited to men... and basketball is a way of showing that. Although I must say that when I do watch a little bit of the WNBA, I don't enjoy it at all... but then I have to remind myself that they are doing it all as a form of competition... and yeah, money =)

GoldenBear makes a bit of sense w/ his claims... even though he could use a better sense of judgement in his adjectives and nouns to make it not seem as if he's sitting on a porcupine.

My gawd, must have to take EVERYTHING to the extreme?? All you do is pop in and undermine what any person says in a thread. The other day it was ragging on Russ for NCNE, and today it is b/c I made the observation that the WNBA is so underrated and underwatched that no one even really cares anymore.

The next time someone calls George W. Bush a jackass, maybe I should just pop in the thread and tell them to shut their pie-hole b/c they wouldn't make it through the Primaries.

Hmm, back on topic. The WNBA is pretty bad to watch, but I'm not a women's basketball fan. I figure if I watched women's college basketball I would find the WNBA pretty fun to watch. Too many people watch the WNBA and expect it to be like the NBA. The only women's sport I watch is tennis, I find it more fun to watch then men's tennis.

I think the WNBA games are more technical and precise than the NBA games. The plays are setup well and more importantaly the execution rate is higher than that of the NBA. No one center who cannot shoot free throws dominates the paint (not that its a bad thing, but I would still like to see some variation in the game). Sure you won't see flamboyant dunks and killer cross-overs but it is entertaining nonetheless.

In cleveland the Rockers get more people than the Cavs. not that i'd ever be caught dead watching either game...
