Does anybody take cyclobenzaprine?

After having it prescribed for the second time for my perpetually painful neck, I gave in and had the prescription filled. Anybody have any experience with this?

yes, seems to help with my back. Haven't had any noticeable side effects yet, just started taking it about a week ago.

Does it work on all muscles or just neck/back? I don't really see how it could tell a difference but I'm just wondering.

"Muscle relaxant"? Why don't you just get drunk? 😛

lol

Because I'm on rheumatoid arthritis meds that I can't mix with alcohol, that's why.

aplefka, this is from webmd:
Cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.

Cyclobenzaprine is used to relieve pain, tenderness, and limitation of motion caused by muscle spasms. It is used, along with rest and physical therapy, for short-term treatment (i.e., 2 to 3 weeks).

Hotchic:
cyclobenzaprine typically causes a lot of drowsiness, that's why a lot of people just take it at bedtime. You can split the tablet in half (so you take 5mg instead of 10mg) and that should cut down on the drowsiness and give you almost the same amount of muscle relaxation. You still can take this with all over the counter pain medications like ibuprofen or naproxen
