does anybody play Quake2 anymore?

Is it just me or does it seem like most of the people playing are using aimbots even on protected servers......

I do alot of quake4 now.

But sometimes I revisit the past..lol

Quake II is no longer being developed. I would find it more appalling if there weren't people using Aimbots by now.

i still have q3 on my harddrive, u don't have to install the thing, its just self contained in the directory so its survived many windows reinstalls. q2's been lost long ago, i don't even know where my install discs are. q3 online servers suck everytime i do check though so i almost never play it.

You hate cheaters in Q2?

Organize a LAN party. Or find the one already organized. Or make private server and give password only to people you trust.

Also, there are modifications for higher-res gaming.

Seriously, find or start a community of real q2 gamers, make private server, have fun. Bingo!

Action Quake 2 remains my favorite fps. I was in a couple clans back in the day and it was fun.

I just started re-playing Quake 2 single player because I just found the bonus CD that came with Quake 4 for the 360. Though, the only multi-player game I play now is GTA:SAMP.

Actually quake2 at this point has very little cheaters now. The people who still play it do it because the love the game and well, we have played it for so long.

I finally stopped playing about 6 months ago. The game still has new players coming in and most if not all cry foul. They cannot believe people's accuracy and cry bot. Bots are easy to spot though and during the last year of my play, the ones who did cheat would only wall, but they would get caught eventually.

Why use a bot when everyone who has played it for 7 years has a 75% rail ratio?
