i have a Toshiba PCX-2000u cable modem and it recently stopped working using ethernet, so i'm forced to use it via USB. Toshiba does not make USB drivers that support linux. I'm forced to stay with win2k until i can get a new cable modem from RR. help! I need USB drivers for this modem if any third party makes them!!!!

Linux might support it. Find out the chip used in it. If there is a fcc number do a search and see what pops up.

1) how would i know if linux supported it based on the chipset? I've already tried looking for a driver on my own, and linux would not do anything with my modem without a usb driver

2) I can't get a new modem....Timewarner forces me to use the same Toshiba PCX 2000 modem and they refuse to add a foreign MAC address (from a different modem) to their system. I have a Toshiba PCX 1100 modem in my closet b/c i had a ton of trouble with this stupid modem when i first installed it. Even if i was to switch it for another exact (new) modem, i'd have to wait until monday when TW is open.

3) i dunno WTF ken kaniff is on, so no response for you
