I just started getting into it and really like it. I like everything from KJ52 and Kirk Franklin to Sonicflood, MWS, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, etc.

Post some of what you listen to. No, this is not a post forcing anything on anybody, so don't read anymore into it!

I like Switchfoot, Five Iron Frenzy, Newsboys, and DC Talk, personally. But I'm an ex-Christian, so my opinion doesn't count. :p

No, the lyrics are important in music. Christian lyrics don't mesh with me.

none taken. You'd be surprised how good some of the music is and that it was even Christian music.

Hmm you are very narrow minded....

I like Pillar and P.O.D. I don't hold their religious beliefs against them.

I am an agnostic.

I do a lot. After the morning talk show I listen to, I switch on the Christian station (105.3 in Milwaukee).

Just saw Michael W Smith with Mercy Me and one other band in concert a couple weeks ago. Also have Avalon and Mark Schultz coming in October and Steven Curtis Chapman coming some time after that.

Once you get to know the songs, you'll even hear them on some of the other stations that play the 80s and 90s music. Nice to know that it's getting around and people like it without even realizing it's by a Christian artist.

Yahoo Launchcast Radio also has a good Christian free radio thing that I used to listen to before they told us not to at work.

Most of the new stuff is el crap-o. I think the only real Christian group I ever liked was PM Dawn from the early 90s. Anyone remember them?

Yep, good stuff. SonicFlood has lots of great music.

If you can find it, take a listen to "Two Sets of Jones" by Big Tent Revival

Very good song. I heard them perform it when it was new (back in like 1993 or something), loved it.

Hell yeah, man that was back in the day. I had no idea they were a Christian influenced group.

I listen to Christian music. Some of my favorite groups/singers are Casting Crowns, Chris Rice, Racheal Lampa, SonicFlood, Sixpence none the Richer, Jars of Clay, and a few others.

How could you not know? It seemed like every album had 'Christian' or 'Jesus' in the title. I still rock them once in a while - nice and mellow stuff. They had many good songs - 'I'd die without you', 'On a clear day, 'Set adrift on memory bliss', 'Reality used to be a friend of mine', 'Paper doll', etc...

I think they still make stuff, but the recent music is much more preachy and such - they lost something.
