as the title states, i need to replace my original disk 2 and 6.
I'm restoring an old 386dx40 and need to put win31 on it.
can anybody provide a link please

no, just really need replacement copies of about 3 files but i can't seem to find them anywhere

Well there is the All versions of Windows on 2 DVDs floating around on Usenet.

The cd that had my copies of Win 3.1 and DOS stopped working about a year ago :(

on disk 6

and on disk 2
bluemax.vx_

any ideas?
all the rest of the files work but these ones are located on bad sectors on my disks

holy cow why would you ever want to even contemplate messing with win 3.1 when you could probably piece together a junky computer that could at least run '98 for around a hundred dollars, or maybe less.

nah it only has 8mb of ram, i do have win95 on disks but this is just a resto of an old osborne computer, really just a curiosity thing

I had to support a windows 3.1 system that provided a critical warnings system (really critical) and the software was made by a company that went under. No equivalent existed unless they wanted to spend like 20k.

Just for reference, I have a fully working copy of Win3.1 OEM edition. Longest lasting floppies ever known to mankind. I should probably CD-ize it for archival, though.

I do and it was brutal. Three days after it was release I finally got it installed. Didn't want to be one of those people in line to get a copy at midnight, so waited until next morning. But trying to install it took 2 days.
