Does anybody know if the stock HSF for AMD 64's are the same on all models?

Hi all,

I need 2 Athlon 64 stock HSF's for Socket 939. Someone has a couple that came from a some Opterons'. I was wondering if they are the same. (Or approximately the same) and if I can used them.

No, they're not all the same. Yes, those will probably be fine, assuming the CPU they're going on to aren't too much faster (in GHz) than the ones they came off of.

Opterons are a different socket, not sure if the retention mechanism is the same for all their sockets.
