Long shot and sorry if its in the inappropriate forum, but I need to pursue all avenues. I am willing to go the extra mile and provide an understanding of the context through notes, clear demarcation between formal, colloquial and dialectal Arabic to ensure the customer is aware. Also translation of some terms with historical or political context, abstraction or just plain complexity that isn't immediately communicable with transliteration.

Arabic <-> English

You write weird. It's like a faux intellectual speak.

And you fail to paint a picture and communicate any basic criteria:

1. Is this a live translation gig or writing? Translation or interpretation?

2. Wtf is it? When? Where? Does this require travel?

3. Is this a paid gig? Qhats the actual work load? Am I writing a documentation or do a live interpretation in a speech? Who's the customer?

4. When is it? What time frame? Is there a deadline?

Christ. You said so much yet gave so little information?

I think this is word salad and I kind of question your sanity.

It's like sales pitch, which is what he's making. His skills would be valuable for the right person, which isn't me.
No, it's a straight up garbage speak. A sales pitch is concise and the information conveyed is nicely distilled.

See my above post.

I understood it plainly. He's claiming to have thorough knowledge of language AND culture, which is better than being a meatbag google translate. Particulars don't really matter at this point. It's a niche enough skill that pitching explicit detail to a message board is a waste of time. If someone thinks "Holy shit! I could totally use this!", he can be contacted for details. I'm assuming almost anything is on the table if he needs money bad enough to post here.

You are right and I made a mistake. I thought he was posting a gig not searching for a job. A brain fart there.
