I checked it out briefly, but couldn't get into it. It's a worthy project, IMO, with a good solid client, but it just didn't satisfy my stats fix :) That, along with WU's that can take a year or more made dnet much more appealing to me.

No, Viz, I ran Proth, not Prime95. Proth is less structured (read: you set it up and input WUs manually) but faster (it only takes months to get results. ;))

I run Prime95 on a couple of machines. I've been with the Mersenne project since 1996, when all of the "fetching and flushing" was done manually. Over there, my account name is kutens...

Recently, I've been doing factoring only (quicker results) and have climbed into the top 10 overall of factorers.

i was thinking of doing factoring also but then stopped since they count factoring as 'less' work done

although you do a factor in 1 day or 2
but overall they are count 5 hours work as 1 hours or something like that

that was why i tested the prime
takes a lot longer :)
but i feel better

I have a "team" in the top 100... (well it was in the top 100)

hmmm, have to go check it out. If you want, you could have it if you put TeamAnandtech on it :)

It's under jatwell btw...
