I have 3 blades presently....
many years ago approx 25 yrs -- I played competitively I had 1/2 a dozen and I had a sponsor who provided me with blades and sheets of rubber for free!!

Times have changed!!

I have one blade that is a Stiga legend blade with JUIC 999 Elite rubber on one side and Butterfly Tackfire rubber on the other side!!

Another blade I use is the banda Swedewood blade with Stiga Mendo Energy rubber on both sides!!

My current favorite blade is a TibharIV Light with JUIC 999 Elite on one side and Tibhar Bungee on th other side!! -- approx $110

I have countless sheets of rubber......and countless boxes of Nittaku Table tennis balls.

You can pay upwards of 130 - 170 dollars for a composite blade..
Most sheets of Rubber will run anywhere from 15 -- a high of 70 dollars a sheet!!

Peace!!

When I was in China on the All-American Ping Pong team, I just loved playing ping-pong with my Flexolite ping pong paddle.

I used to play competitively in High School but quit in college as I moved around too much and it irked me a lot when they changed the ball size.

I still play 2-3 times a week with other ex-players and I am thankful for it. Table tennis, IMO, is one of the most relaxing sports one can play.

Some of my blades include:

Donic Crisan Titanium
Stiga Hybrid Wood
Stiga Titanium WRB

I ordered a carbon blade last week and it is yet to arrive (couldn't find it here, so I ordered it from the U.S.): Butterfly Schlager.

By the way, I agree with you on the greatness of Butterfly rubbers, even though Donic Vario Coopers are also good.

Also, if you have an Xbox 360, I recommend getting Rockstar's Table Tennis game... It's the best TT game I have ever seen.

two of my housemates are crazy about it. they both have 2-3 "blades" (never knew they were called that) each. its pretty fun to watch them play....and get my ass kicked on occasion....

my main racket for the last few years was a stiga all-round classic blade with yasaka mark v rubbers.

right now i'm using a monster Joola-Juic combo...its absurdly fast compared to my older racket but it is a bit tougher to control.
