Does anybody here live in Russia right now?

I've been there, but it was a while ago. If anybody remembers what they did, or live there, what are some things to do daily? Say you're going for a week...what would you do day1, day2, day3, etc...

I'm thinking something like maybe:

Day1: (land in moscow), walk around the city and get to know it a bit.
Day2: Spend a day at the kremlin, all the stuff inside there can easily take up a day.
Day3: Need something to do during the day...then overnight shuttle/train to St. Petersburg
Day4: Go spend a day at Petergof (sp?)
Day5: Spend a day at the winter palace, then take overnight shuttle/train back to Moscow
Day6: no clue what to do, then probably flying out evening

total amount of money for this trip: $7000, and two people would be going.

Better/more ideas are appreciated :)

There is a lot to do/see in both Moscow/St. Petersburg....
Like you said: Moscow has the Kremlin, St Petersburg has winter palace, hermitage, a couple of awsome churches

I haven't been to Moscow in a while, but I was in St Petersburg a year and a half ago. Besides all the locations you can take a tour of all the historic cites, they run from the winter palace and are fairly cheap.
I don't remember if they have em in English but since I was born there i took the russian version.

Been to Russia twice, for 8days each. 4 in St Petersburg, then night train and 4 in Moscow. Personally I might consider taking another day in St Petersburg, I like it better than Moscow.

Go to the Hungry Duck in Moscow:) Bar with dancing on the tables, at midnight and 3am they kick people off the bar to have a strip show. Kinda hard to find but a blast.

There is a great souvenir market in Moscow, Izamosky Park, costs 10ruble to get in but prices are better than you get haggling with other vendors.

Stuff to do in Moscow: KGB Museum (need reservation but I found it really interesting), Tretiakov and Pushkin are great but you might be getting museumed out, Moscow State Uniersity is huge and impressive.

I vote for doing Hot Russian chicks for 4 days...
followed by vodka and Caviar...

then send a MiG 29 home peice by piece

might wanna send one of them hawt chicks too..
