Does anybody have an Xconfig/help for a thinkpad 365x? (trident cyber 9320)

I'm having trouble getting the xserver (xfree 4.0) to run correctly on a thinkpad 365x (vid card is a trident cyber 9320 1MB). I've been able to get X to start by messing around with the settings, but only in 640x480. And even then, the screen "boundry" surpasses the physical screen size for some reason... and it's not virtual. I know the laptop can do 800x600 in windows, can anybody help me out with an XF86Config or any hints on how to get it to work with the correct res?

How good are you with UNIX?

If you know the commands open up the X-86Config file and start editing. Pay close attension to the monitor setting and refresh rates..

I've changed some settings, but don't get anywhere. I don't have the specs for the panel...

Can anybody help me out here?
