Does anybody have an ASUS CUBX motherboard running win2K?

yes and xp, but i dont have it install right now.. what bios do you have ? I notice the revision changed after i flash to the latest bios...

OK, I think I have bios 1008, but the problem appears to be with the CMD controller, which does not have a BIOS that you can change any settings in or update. The problem is that I don't seem to be able to get UDMA 66 working from this controller. I am using the CMD drivers from the ASUS website, and I think I installed them correctly, but my transfer speeds are awful, only 6 megs a second from a 7200 RPM 20 gig maxtor drive which supports UDMA 66. I do have two drives on the same ribbon, but I thought that only affected speeds when both drives are being accessed at once, or for drive to drive transfers?

Thanks for replying 🙂

what are you using to test the speed.. i'm about to reinstall the os from 98 to w2k or wxp on the cubx tomorrow, and I can do a qucik test.. using quantum fireball se 7200 rpm 20 gb drive.
