Does anybody have a pair of Nike Shox?

They seem awfully trendy, but are they any good? My New Balance running shoes (yes I run in them) are getting fairly worn and need to be replaced. So any thoughts?

I have a pair. They're decent, but I still like a more traditional running shoe better. IMO the shox don't give you enough feel for your heels.

Ouch. But honestly, I run in runng shoes. I almost never weat athletic shoes out and about. Looks don't matter much to me. I have been a long time Nike hater, but it seems they are making better shoes these days and these struck me somehow. 'Ugly' as they may be.

I wouldn't laugh at someone running in those, but coming out of the mall? I'd be rolling.

i have some shox r4s, had em for a coupla years- theyre really, really comfortable, and are great to run in- but not worth the money. the cloth mesh frayed within a few months, and they make you feel like youre really far away from the ground, on a narrow base (because you are).

I had the origional ones and still wear them a bit. They are about 3yrs old now and knackered but still fit like a glove and are
great to wear and run in. Very comfortable for me.

I have the newer shoxs that have the heel ones. They too are very comfortable. I don't wear them to run as they are
clean and white. I wear the for fashion. Fashion is personal and they are comfortable and I like the style of the so I wear them.
If another guy thinks they are funny/ bad 'fashion' I don't care in the slightest.

But for real running shoes go see a RUNNING SHOP with a FOOT SCANNER. Depending on HOW YOU RUN this will dictate
what running shoes and brands are better for you.

Nike running shoes tend to be for people with perfecting running technique and are fully balance. If you run heavy pronated or supinated
etc you are better off with other brands.

Generally you can't go wrong with Asics though for running shoes.

Really? So, why do actors, photographers, fashion directors, etc. use stylists as opposed to $10 barbers?

Douche bag.

what Koing said for the most part is correct. If you asks runners they'll say either Nike's are for the people with narrow feet and high arches and have been running for a while. Nike's are not so forgiving if you have poor form...As for the Shox, they are pretty good from what I have run. Im currently running the Nike 2:45's and must say that they are probably the best running shoes I have ever run. Asics are pretty nice as well.

because unlike you they have to worry about being in the public eye all the time so if they goto exclusive joints its usually just them and the stylist they dont have worry about annoying assholes taking pictures for the tabloids or pestering them for autographs.

douche bag.

Unlike you I don't spend my days trolling about in my parent's suburban basement. I enjoy spending my weekends out on the town. What's more amusing, I do get into "exclusive joints." I'm not going to apologize about taking care of myself, or spending money on myself, even if superficially. I'll do what I please and there's no way a boring, little tick with no reason to get up in the morning is going to tell me otherwise.

thats cool. i know plenty of peeps in manhattan that goto upscale exclusive joints, have the latest hair styles and get them done at the neighborhood barber. whatever floats your boat man. at least clothing you get what you pay for.

and your interpretation of me couldnt be further from the truth. I think you'd be surprised as to how commonalities there are between us....Aside from not seeing eye 2 eye on the cost of hair cuts that is.

I had a pair for a year. I spent $150 on them and they were pretty comfortable. But I would not buy another pair. I recently just bought a pair of Nike jogging shoes with a similar thing in the heel like the shocks. I only paid $60 for them.

I say buy something different.
