Does anybody have 2 cd-roms in their case and have these symptoms.

i have a dvd rom on top and a burner on the bottom, they aren't even running, and they are BURNING to the touch. Can you overheat cd-roms? Because they are extremely hot when i play a movie..... and there is like no way to get air flow up there in the top corner. 🙁

how many bays are in your case?

spread them out by 1.. that should help... either way.. just dont run them all day long! give em a break.. they will survive!

Some run hotter than others. My 2+ year old 4x Iomega drive runs burniung hot to the touch. The plextors I have used in builds run cool to the text (16x's at least have a little fan to help cool it down)
