Does anybody else here use Sensodyne toothpaste?

If so, have you noticed whether it affects your taste too? I've noticed pretty much any fried food I eat now all I can taste is the oil on that food. It's severely overpowering nearly any other flavor.

For example, a coworker just brought in fresh krispykreme (still warm too) donuts, and I tried one. All I could taste was oil with a hint of sugar from the glaze. Same thing the last time I had fries from a fast food place last time I went out somewhere - all I could taste was the oil.

I use it from time to time and have not noticed a change in my taste.

But, we're all nerds here. Use the scientific method! Hypothesis - Sensodyne affects taste. Test methodology - Cease using sensodyne for 2 weeks, and record taste sensations over that period. Restart use of sensodyne and record taste sensations while eating the same foods from the initial two weeks. Report back with results.

Bah, that takes too much effort and defeats the purpose of the internet: instant gratification.

Seems like regular toothpaste to me, never noticed it helps with sensitivity at all.

I used it... till I had all my top teeth pulled. Now no need for it.

I love my dentures!

I think sensodyne has improved your tasting ability. Thats all there is to crispy cremes - its just an oil circle.
I use it and have seen no difference in taste.

Are you suggesting I post pics of my anus with a tube of toothpaste firmly lodged within?

This is the internet, this is what it's for.

That is typical of Krispy Crap or Crappy Kreme.

I actually used to find that my teeth became more sensitive after using that stuff. I stopped using it promptly and everything went back to normal.

I've used it for the last 10 years or so, per my dentist's request. Never had issues with sensitivity, taste, etc.

I use either Colgate or Crest sensitive as they both contain the same active ingredients, but have higher fluoride content. That said, I havent noticed any side effects.

I can't stand the taste or smell of Sensodyne...Aquafresh Sensitive does the same thing but is much milder.

I use it only in the evening. I don't like the after taste it leaves if I use it during the day. It solved the sensitivity issues with my teeth, but never really paid attention to loss of taste from using it.
