I used to be a lot into that as a kid when we had to make a bird feeder in class out of a javex bottle. Looking back, I can't believe they made us do that. A javex bottle? lol. Well they did clean them real good.

My parents did not really like it though so I never got deep into it. Now that I have my own house I might put up a couple feeders in the summer. Only issue is lot of houses just get swarmed by pigeons when they do that. I don't have anything against pigeons, but it is actually illegal here to feed them and not sure if that counts bird feeders too.

I'd have to put a chipmunk/squirrel feeder too as there is a chipmunk in this neighborhood. Maybe even a squirrel, who knows. My cat would enjoy that too.

I used to put up a couple bird bells each winter at our old house.

We would see black-capped chickadees, English sparrows, Cardinals and downy woodpeckers.

My parents do.

I never cared for it. They always left a mess throughout the backyard and were incredibly loud while feeding.

My parents have some Cardinals that scream at them when they want to be fed. The Cardinals have trained them quite well.:D

We have a single seed feeder on the porch. At first it wasn't a big deal but now my house is know throughout the northeast as THE all you can eat wild bird pig fest.

I swear you can fill that sucker in the morning and they have it cleaned up by evening.

It got so bad now we only fill it maybe 3 times a week because it was getting too expensive lol.....

haha reminds me of the feeder we had at our camp. If a single bird actually ate from it it was lucky. The chipmunks and squirrels would raid that thing so quick lol. We used to spend hours just sitting feeding them peanuts too. They sure like their food lol.
