does any xbox360 wireless pad work on PC?

can i use a standard xbox360 wireless gamepad with the PC or do i need to buy the version that says for PC on it?

Any standard 360 control pad will work, you just need the wireless adapter that hooks into the PC's USB port.

it doesn't come with any software if you buy the non-PC version so you'll have to download drivers.

so i googled reciever as nsafreak mentioned and i ordered the wireless reciever and the black 360 pad that comes with battery and charging usb wire.

thanks pontifex, i'll google the drivers now and cross my fingers. i hope theres a vista x64 version.
too bad the wireless reciever is white...all my pc components are black but i guess i can hide it maybe

The pad and receiver don't need line of sight. You can hide it behind or underneath something, just make sure you can still find it to hit the pair button in case you lose sync some day.
