does any one run 3x 7970 video cards. if so what mobo

question is simple enough.

I want a mobo pick for 3x hd7970 cards and a mobo pick for 4x hd7970 cards .

I can use a 1155 cpu sandy or ivy. this is for bitcoin.

For 3x I use a Gigabyte H61M-DS2H. The 4th 1x pci-e slot right next to the 16x doesn't work for whatever reason, but most boards with 4+ pci-e slots should work from what I've read.

The mining forum on bitcointalk is going to be a better place for answers.

Gosh that is crazy 3 of them, thats 1500 bucks. For what ? Your FPS will never drop below 60fps no matter whats going on in the game.

It's far more common to see AMD boards for this use. Look at the 890FX boards and pair it with any low-end CPU.

This. I think it's too late in the game to begin bitcoining. I totally understand if you just want to try it out, but don't expect a very good ROI.
