Does any cell phone company not check credit?

On the ones that do the contracts, is there any that does not require a ridiculous security deposit if you don't have good credit?

all providers are now doing credit checks including sprint...sprint did it to boost their stock price in the holiday season...then they found out that the churn rate on those activations were so high that they werent making any money...soon at&t will be offering a gsm phone that is pre-paid...but along the lines of what is available in europe...in other words more minutes than the usual prepaid phones...the downside will be a limited coverage area...otherwise check out virgin wireless...they dont have bad prepay plans

You must have terrible credit if you can't get by the cell phone credit check. My credit is far from good and I had no problem with verizon.

Sprint has clearpay.. a program for people that dont have the best credit.. basically you have a 150 dollar limit so as long as you pay your blill every month you will be fine. They should approve 99% of people.

I have no clue what type of points you have to have... according to the sprint rep, the only people that would be turned down would be people who filed for bankrupcy and people who owe sprint money. I am on a 15 dollar a month sprint employee plan, and since i wasn't 18 at the time i just used my moms name to get the phone... they put her on clearpay for some reason and its exactly the same as a regular plan... they will just shut the phone off at 150 dollar bill.. you shouldnt have any problems geting one.

Tmobile has plans for people with bad credit. It does requre a large deposit I believe.

*shrug*

You pay if you dont have good credit.

Nope.

However Sprint PCS is the easiest to qualify for. Several years ago when my credit wasn't that strong, Sprint PCS approved me for 5 cell phone lines!!!
