The last time I saw her the word gross and Fiona Apple went together pretty well!!! :D

As far as her voice IMO she's average.

Ack! I thought her remake of the Beatles' Across the Universe was not good. The original with John Lennon singing is 500 times better. Yeah, it's a great song, so Fiona's version was OK, but only because even she couldn't screw that song up. :)

Other than that, I like her music. I wouldn't call her voice "beautiful" like a Sarah McLachlan, but only because it's kind of deep and throaty. Her voice does lend itself to her music.

She does seem kind of self-righteous, egocentric, and weird. Remember her speech at the MTV awards a few years ago? What about the title of her latest album, the 500-word essay thing? I'm not sure there's a reason for that other than to draw attention. She can't be all bad, though, because she dates P.T. Anderson, the guy who has made awesome movies like Boogie Nights and Magnolia.

ok so she's wierd but i love her deep contra alto voice it is very melodic in the lower registers and that's not something you hear everyday. i LOVED across the universe but she really shines on the songs she's written like NEVR IS A PROMISE that has got to be one of my alltime favs the lyrics are very deep it's just something i identified with i found them very touching...

I like her a lot. Then again I also like Bjork, Beth Gibbons(Portishead) Beth Orton and many other chicks who might not be considered the best voices out there.

Actually, I like Fiona Apple, and I love the song Criminal. I think she has a very cool voice, not like so many of the other singers out there today.

I like her. Her type of music is generally not my kind of thing, but for some reason I kinda like it. My roomate lusts over her uncontrollably.

I think her music is excellent and her voice very pleasant and rich. I still prefer Criminal amongst all her songs. Alternating between her and Tori Amos makes for a pleasant few hours of listening.

Listening to Sarah McLachlan makes me all warm and fuzzy inside ;)

Shadowboxer was a great song. She has a nice voice but she needs to grow up a little. The stupid 1000 word long album title and her drunken blabber at the MTV awards really damamged her image.

I like her voice and music. She is still really young and can still develop her art further.

I actually have her first album and like it.
