I hope so. I've got a decent sized (7 stitches) one on my chin from when I tripped while half asleep and tried to fight the point of my dresser. I lost that one... Now my beautiful face is marred 🙁

When I worked at a pharmacy, lots of Dermatoligists were recommending "Mederma". It's the only OTC anti-scar cream that was getting recommended a lot. As far as I know it works ... however I have no personal knowledge of this since I do not care about scars on myself.

After my motorcycle accident I had soem stitches and a nice scar, but I am not putting any cream where this scar is :Q

keep healing wounds moist and covered with antibacterial and vitamin E and keep out of sunlight. certain types of skin/scars are more likely to benefit from cerams or pads

Are you into S&M????????

I had surgery and was prescribed anti-scar cream. I didn't really see a need for it since the scars were on my chest and back, but insurance had pre-paid it so what the hell. I think the key with scar reducing treatments is that the skin has to stay relatively still or no amount of treatment will work. I had a 2 inch incision on my back...but it is now over 3 inches long and almost an inch wide as well. If definitely got worse (bright pink, elevated above the skin and alot bigger). The location is right between my shoulder blades so any arm movement will move that skin. On the other hand I have 3 other surgery scars (neck, above the hip and lower chest on the ribs) that I applied the same treatment as well and they faded and one outright dissapeared.
