Does an office network data center pose radiation risk?

Do those office network data center rooms pose radiation risk? Like if your desk is in the same room as a large hub/router/switch for the entire office's 300 PC network? Size of file cabinet, and always humming. Got links?

Absolutely. You should quit such a job immediately and run screaming from the building.

My coworker put a cactus on her desk to protect her from the radiation. You should consider that.

I hope your co-worker realizes that only a Christmas Cactus is truly effective for neutralizing computer-related radiation. Many of the others will actually magnify it...better get dibs on her stuff just in case.

It does, but a thin layer of metal is sufficient to block it. Your head is the most sensitive part. So find some cheap, lightweight metal, and place it where it will best obstruct the harmful rays.

Find out if any of the equipment has the metal "Iridium" in it.

Iridium until World War 2 was called "Iradium" because of its radioactive properties, but once nuclear bombs were invented, the use of this metal became taboo, and they changed the name of it to begin using it again.

Iridium in enough computer equipment in your personal space will cause radioactive damage to your body.

Be safe.

Did you know that you are radioactive? At this very moment, you are emitting. Not as strong as the natural radiation in the environment around you, but still, you are glowing in the dark.

Not sure about radiation, but I'm pretty sure cancer risk is increased...

My gaming pc at home radiates a lot of heat. That's because it has a pair of 6870s. With all that radiation, I have to spend extra to cool my home in the summer, however, I am able to spend less in the winter to heat my home.

Iridium phones may or may not contain iridium. You'll likely get a no comment from Iridium and a restraining order if you even ask the question.

This goes beyond just satellite phones, the use of iridium in manufacturing is hardly ever disclosed because of the dangers it poses.

Hahahaha, this dude got ripped to shreds.

I bet he doesn't use a cell phone because he doesn't want it to cook his skull peanut.
