Does an LCD generate heat?

I just touched the back of my 19" LCD (ViewSonic VX924) at the top and noticed that it is warm. Is that normal?

It's probably fine, but my LCD doesn't feel hot anywhere, except a little warm sometimes on the screen itself. My room is ****ing freezing though.

it all depends
if it integrates a powersupply into the body or has a seperate power brick
if the former, they will generate warmth... but i do not believe any LCD that has a seperate power brick generates any heat... my laptop's screen doesn't make any warmth at all

Yah....the lcd im stuck with now has an external power brick and no major heat generated anywhere, but it sucks having this huge power brick taking up space.....btw its soon to be a Samsung 940b wendesday.

PM me and let me know how that 940 works out for ya. I'm in the market for an LCD and am looking for the best I can afford.
thanks
