Does an ATI 9550 support 1680x 1050 resolution?

My mate is after a big monitor, he DOESN'T PLAY GAMES, and he has just spotted a monitor he likes, widescreen, thatb has a native resolution of 1680x1050. Now, I'm checking around on the internet (googling) as we speak, but last time i check for ATi supported resolutions for his card I didn't find much, hence I'm checking here.

If possible, could you post a link proving the card supports that resolution so i can show it him.

Thanks in advance :)

I don't see why it wouldn't... You really don't need to worry about modern video cards supporting a resolution nowadays, unless you're talking about some massive resolution like 3000x2000.

yeah - he was a little worried about any lag in 2D, plus it's so hard to find anything that mentions the card in the same sentence as that resolution! Thanks for your input! :)

The last several driver releases enable this resolution on Radeon chips. You might need to uncheck "Hide Modes This Monitor Cannot Display" in Display Properties->Settings->Advanced->Monitor.
