Do adapters exist that allow me to connect a usb flash drive to an old laptop via it's db9 serial or printer parallel port?

I know I could buy a pcmcia usb adapter...but was just wondering if a usb -> serial/parallel adapter exists. I know they exist for the *opposite* direction (e.g. serial device -> usb port)...

USb >parallel adapter exists used to connect older printers to newer laptops. A google for usb serial adapter brings may products that may or may not work for you.

No slow, he wants to go the other way: connect USB devices to a parallel or printer port.

The answer is no. Your only option is a USB PCMCIA adapter.
