Does an 850Mhz Thunderbird support MMX?

I am dealing with my Andara barebones setup again. I decided to install the modem that came with it. There are two choices of drivers for win9x. One is for PC's with a CPU that supports MMX, one is for those that don't. I've got an 850Mhz Thunderbird. I was thinking that MMX was an intel thing, but is it integrated into Athlon's also?
